The Vermont Department of Taxes does not send unsolicited text messages regarding tax refunds, payments, or personal account information. If you receive a text claiming to be from the Department, it is a scam. Please do not click on links or provide personal information.

Voluntary Disclosure Program

If you have failed to file and pay your Vermont taxes, you may be eligible for the Voluntary Disclosure Program (VDP). The VDP waives penalties for qualifying taxpayers who come forward voluntarily.
